I was really excited to try this restaurant because it won many awards for best sushi and best Japanese food, and also because it's the only restaurant in Cleveland I can find that has beef rendang on the menu. On an early Sunday evening it wasn't crowded and we were seated right away in the large dining area. Service was fast and attentive, really has no concerns there. My wife said her sushi roll was really good and the kids like their simpler sushi rolls and pork gyoza. But, my asparagus sushi roll was just ok and I was very disappointed with the beef rendang. It came out way too fast, was barely warm, and did not taste fresh. The flavor was also disappointing. It's a little pricey too and you don't get a lot of food for the money. None of us were full after spending $70 with tip and ended up going to Koko Bakery next door to eat much cheaper (and better tasting in my opinion) food. 4 stars because there are a ton of sushi options and it's worth trying out for that, but don't expect to be blown away from the non-sushi offerings.

Our first visit to the restaurant was amazing! The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, and I was so impressed that I forgot to take a picture. We also ordered the Chicken Katsu, which was fantastic as well! The only thing that was so-so was the Fried calamari. It was too Chewy and did not taste so fresh. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

A peaceful and charming Japanese restaurant where you can come for good food and to be at ease. To start, my husband and I shared an order of Fire Dragon sushi rolls (pictured.) Lightly spicy, the savory rolls tasted as pleasing as they looked. We both ordered the Dinner Hibachi and were more than satisfied. Each of our dinners came with ginger salad and miso soup. My Hibachi Chicken (pictured) came with vegetables and I upgraded to the fried rice. Separate dishes for soy sauce and yum yum sauce were provided. The decor was fresh and in theme. In particular, I thought the fish lights (pictured) were especially cute. We will definitely come back here to eat again sometime.

Dropped in for dinner w/out expectations. GREAT Malaysian food. We went in thinking Sushi but switched after we got into the menu. There's a reason there a line built out the door (we got in early). Inside was nicely decorated, comfortable, bisstro-ish. Will definitely go back next time we're in town.

I was browsing on Google maps for Asian restaurants in the Cleveland area and was surprised to find this restaurant with both Japanese AND Malaysian cuisines. I was eager to try both cuisines because they're some of my favorites (I have Malaysian family), and I've never seen anything like this before. Like with any huge menu, I had trouble deciding what to order because I wanted to try everything. I mainly ordered Malaysian dishes this time, plus the East roll, since I could hopefully come back one day and try other things. The hamachi kama is recommended, but I didn't want to wait because it takes longer to make. The mango chicken and rendang chicken came on flat plates that didn't make sense because the mango chicken was goopy and spilling over, and the rendang chicken was watery. These dishes are why I can't give 5 stars. I'm used to rendang being more "dry" like a thicker stew or curry. It seemed weird for the dish to come with raw lettuce and tomatoes, reminding me of Mexican restaurants that do the same (but it's for salad at Mexican restaurants). Since the rendang was so watery, there wasn't as strong of a flavor. The serving sizes for the beef stir fried noodle and mee goreng were very generous and came on huge plates. They both had the right amount of flavors. The mee goreng was slightly spicy, but in a good way. The east roll was also huge, but it's on the pricier side anyway. It had all my favorite sushi roll elements - fried/tempura, eel, and sauces I'm guessing are spicy mayo and eel sauce. Make sure to let it cool down first, or be careful eating it right away because it was really hot throughout!

Went absolutely insane on the boat for three!! Might as well have been all you can eat and we were a group of FOUR. The sushimi variety was impressive and the incredible flavor had me trippin. Not sure if it was the saki, sharing this experience with my fellow diamond dogs, or my uncultured palate, but this place rocked!!
